THRESHOLD Confimed For Italy's ROCKIN' FIELD FESTIVAL

UK progressive metallers THRESHOLD have been confirmed for the Rockin' Field Festival, set to take place July 26 in Adro (BS),Italy. Also scheduled to appear is AVANTASIA, the solo project of EDGUY frontman Tobias Sammet.

THRESHOLD was recently honored in the "Best Singer", "Best Drummer" and "Best Album Track" at the Classic Rock Society awards in the UK.

Johanne James won the "Best Drummer" award for the second consecutive year. Damian Wilson won the "Best Vocalist" award after returning to the band for last year's tour. The "Best Album Track" award was won by Richard West's song "Pilot in the Sky of Dreams" from THRESHOLD's latest studio album, "Dead Reckoning".

After signing with Nuclear Blast last year, THRESHOLD released their eighth studio album, "Dead Reckoning", in March 2007. The CD brought the band their best chart success to date in the UK, Germany and Holland, and led to tracks on numerous compilations as well as a major Hollywood soundtrack. The band toured Europe in the autumn with a strong support package featuring COMMUNIC, MACHINE MEN and SERENITY, as well as playing many festivals in the UK, US and Europe.

THRESHOLD closed the year by releasing its first retrospective, "The Best of Threshold - The Ravages of Time".
